It had been raining off an on that day so we didn't get to see any live music but I'm sure it would have been fun. My nieces (ages 5 & 7) took off to the playground and play forever! There was corn hole set up opposite the playground and a stage where they usually play live music. I am so glad we did because by 7:30 the place was PACKED.

#Coyote drive in food movie
Our movie didn't start until 8:50 PM but since we had finished with dinner early and it was our first time visiting Coyote we got there around 6:00 PM to check out everything and get a good parking spot. The ticket prices were great - $8 for adults & $6 for kids for a double feature. This place was just amazing!! I went with my brother, sister in law, and my two nieces. All in all it was a great experience and we will definitely be back. We did not stay for the second feature since it was so late, but it seemed about 1/2 the guest did and the other 1/2 did not. It was super easy to see since the screens are raised up in the air. Once the sun started going down we all went to our seats and got set up to watch the movie. The kids loved the playground and throwing the football before the movie started. We were able to secure the last rental radio at the bar and will definitely bring our own next time so we don't have to worry about getting one. We then ventured to the bar and were impressed by the beer selection, although I would have liked more taps, it was quite extensive. We got nachos, pizza and sodas and they were all great. The concession line inside was gigantic and had everything you could want from a drive in, including pizza.

We ventured to the pavilion and found a great spot to sit outside in the shade. There were several workers walking the lot ensuring that everyone was parking correctly and able to pack in without any issues. We were able to set up our chairs and leave them by the car without any issues. We paid and found a great spot in front of our scree with no problems. Upon pulling up about and 1 1/2 before the movie we were surprised to see that it was all ready hopping, but overly crowded. We finally had nice enough weather this weekend to see what it was all about. The place is appropriately named in view of the isolated & disappearing breed of the urban coyote. My family and I have been wanting to check this place out since we heard about it coming to our area. Despite my resignation to these facts, it is still a thrill to find at least one good drive-in movie in a city that I love: the Coyote on Fort Worth. standard standard, metal cars with chrome, & drive-in movies!standard, all metal cars with chrome, & drive-in movies! I realize how trivial this list may seem, & I know that we will never see our currency backed by the gold standard again, that plastic cars are here to stay, & that drive-in movies don't make enough money to justify the use of valuable land. sstandard, metal cars, & drive-in movies. suggest comfortable dress during the summer, & recommend that October is the best month for all-around good weather. Give this site a visit, especially now that the weather is beginning to cool down. Prices are fair, & the money helps to keep the drive-in succeed. Good selection of draft beer & wine! Quality of menu items is as good or better than many fast food stops. The food served the concession stand includes burgers, hot dogs with chili variations, & pizza. A trip to this attraction with four screens, showing double features, with a great concession stand is well worth the 8 $$ per adult & discounts for children. With those nostalgic images in mind, let us hope that the Coyote Drive-in in Fort Worth remains open & successful for a long time to come. The drive-in movie experience peaked in the 1950's & 1960's, which time the estimated number of successfully operating drive-in's is a reported 4000! That period of time also corresponded with the emergence of the "car culture," including the dominance of General Motors & Ford.

It is one of the estimated 350 drive-ins still in operation across the nation. I satisfy this regression into the past by going to the Coyote Drive-In. When I allow myself to be sentimental, I wander back to the 20th Century, & I think about some of the things that I miss the most: the gold standard, metal cars with chrome, & drive-in movies.
